Yasmina began her dance studies at age 5 with ballet, and continued with jazz and modern dance. She became enchanted with belly dance as a teen, and has been training in the dance since.

Since she began performing, she quickly became one of Vancouver's busiest dance artists. She has performed over 2000 shows in the last 8 years.

Yasmina's experience with Indian music and dance began in Varanasi, India, where she studied the tabla with Pandit Kishan Maharaj and Pandit Prakash Maharaj. She then continued her studies with Sukshinder Shinda, and has toured playing tabla with Jazzy B. and Shinda. She has also appeared in music videos on tabla, with Jazzy B.

Since then, Yasmina has performed dance on stage with Bollywood stars Sunidhi Chauhan and KK. She has performed internationally in the U.K. and in Trinidad.

Yasmina currently performs 20-30 shows a month at various venues in Vancouver and throughout the Lower Mainland.
